Rag & Bone kicks off the holidays with the Gift Factory – Sourcing Journal

Rag & Bone continues to use unique retail experiences to highlight its seasonal offerings.

The New York-based brand recently opened the Holiday Gift Factory, an exclusive pop-up store in Grove’s Glass Box in Nordstrom, Los Angeles. The store focuses on ‘freebies’ including woolen beanies, woolen and Fair Isle scarves as well as nylon puffer jackets, Sherpa accented shirt jackets and knitwear. A selection of iconic Rag & Bone Retro Runner sneakers is also available.

While shipping delays may mean fewer options for consumers, the National Retail Federation predicts retail sales growth this holiday season of 8.5% to 10.5%, and brands are stepping up efforts to take advantage of the $ 843.4 billion to $ 859 billion.

The holiday shine comes through the special mirrored aluminum casing on the exterior of the store. Images of the brand’s recent Holiday 2021 campaign can be found throughout, while neon signage, shrink-wrapped baseboards, chrome pallets and a ceiling lined with silver mylar balloons convey the festive atmosphere inside.

Inside the gift factory

To celebrate the opening, Rag & Bone and Nordstrom will team up with NBA broadcaster Malika Andrews and model Kelsey Merritt for exclusive space highlighting content and a series of new Rag & Bone Instagram filters for the holidays.

The concept is similar to the one that bowed at Barneys at Saks in October. There, the brand created an outdoor-inspired experience to showcase its new nylon outerwear. Rag & Bone’s year was marked by several pop-up experiences, including a bodega-themed pop-up at Center Stage located in Nordstrom’s flagship in New York City and a temporary store in Brooklyn.
