MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) — BBQ gear, gift baskets and outdoor gear are just a few handmade gifts Amelia’s Craft Market & Boutique is offering for Father’s Day.
“We have many artists in the store and each of them shares something that would be great for any man on your list,” Amelia’s manager Barbie Ward-Thomas said.
With Father’s Day on Sunday, some may be hoping to find a special gift soon. And for last-minute shoppers, Amelia’s now has extended hours.
“Sundays we are open from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm and it is Father’s Day that day, so come see us. You can come and pick up that last minute gift that we can help you choose,” Ward-Thomas said.
But, Ward-Thomas said it’s best to get there as soon as possible because they’ve seen an increase in shoppers this week.
“We had a lot of wives, sons and daughters who came to get something for their dad. So far, the Yeti t-shirt has been the most popular item,” Ward-Thomas said.
Meanwhile, soaps for men have proven to be a hot item at 906 & Co. in downtown Marquette.
“We have a variety of items available for Father’s Day, from candles to facial care items to personal organization items,” said 906 & Co. store associate Sarah Manzo.
906 & Co. candles and soaps are all handmade in store. And, there’s currently a sale for dads who like to stay warm at home.
“We have a sale on men’s dresses that are half off right now,” Manzo said.
Because dads can be hard to buy at times, Manzo said it’s best to give an easy gift.
“Don’t complicate it, you know who you shop best for, so keep it simple and shop with heart,” Manzo said.
906 & Co. will be open on Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Both stores also offer online ordering.
