KTA Super Stores will match $25,000 in donations to UH Hilo’s Vulcan Challenge

For the second year in a row, KTA Super Stores and the Taniguchi ʻohana pledged to match the next $25,000 donated to the University of Hawaii in Hilo‘s Vulcan Challenge 2022. The second edition Vulcan Challenge has just passed its midpoint and has had tremendous support from the Vulcan Athletics community with over 390 donors to date.

KTA Super Stores will donate up to $1,000 for each sports program, while the remaining balance will go to uh Hilo Vulcan Athletics Fund to support the department as a whole.

KTA Super Stores opened in Hilo in 1916 and serves the Hawaii Island community for over 100 years, currently operating from seven locations. Founders Koichi and Taniyo Taniguchi believed in a commitment to humbly serve the people of their community.
